Dear Staunton Families,

Welcome to Staunton Elementary School! At Staunton Elementary, our mission statement is "we expect everyone's best." Our students see the mission posted through the school and hear it each morning on our announcements. Our classes even take turns leading the announcements! Our goal, accomplished through living our mission, is to give students the foundation needed to continue their education and become positive and productive members of society.

Our teachers and staff are dedicated to building positive relationships with students and implementing multiple teaching methodologies to meet the needs of all learners.  Our curriculum is standards-based and linked to the IL Learning Standards.  

Academic achievement is of the utmost importance at Staunton, but we also believe in the necessity of teaching positive character traits and social/emotional skills. This is evident in our student greetings, social contracts, class meetings, and more! We love our students, and their full development is important to us.
