Staunton Elementary Families,
WELCOME BACK! We are all excited for the school year to begin tomorrow. Whether your student is in-person learning or remote learning, please know that our teachers and staff are dedicated to providing a superior educational experience!
Here are a few reminders for our elementary students and families:
ALL students must wear a mask and will be temperature checked on the way into the building.
Parents are NOT allowed to walk their child into school. There will be plenty of staff available to help them carry in belongings and direct them where to go for the first few days of school.
For our primary grade students (K-2), please send a note with the student or email their teacher with details on how the student will normally get home. For example, will they normally be picked up and if so, who will be picking them up? Are they normally a bus rider?
Elementary students who choose to eat hot lunch in the cafeteria will have one choice. This is the 1st choice listed on the school menu. To view the school menu, click HERE.
If your child is choosing to remote learn, teachers will be communicating with them using Schoology. Students can access Schoology with their school provided electronic devices. K-2nd grade students will have iPads and 3rd-5th grade students will have Chromebooks.
If your child does not have a device yet, please plan to pick up a device next Monday, August 17th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the library entrance to the school.
Information on how families can login to Schoology was emailed out on Tuesday, August 11th. Please ensure that your email address in Skyward is accurate to receive this information.
If you ordered a yearbook last year, please know that the office staff is developing a plan for distribution and this will be communicated with families in the next few weeks.
