Staunton Families: The online registration process for the 2020-2021 school year is open. ALL families must register their student(s) by July 31, 2020. Online registration is completed using Skyward Family access. SHS Families: Student athletes are able to start working with their coaches under Return to Play Stage 1 guidelines. The expectations are linked below for your review. SHS Students and Families: The 2020 Staunton High School Prom and Graduation Ceremony that have been scheduled for the month of July are cancelled. Unfortunately, after consulting with the Health Department and reviewing the Restore Illinois Plan from the Governor’s Office, both events will exceed the allowable number of people to gather in a location as we move into Phase 4. This decision is being made to ensure the safety and well-being of our students and families, which is a top priority for the Staunton School District. We appreciate your understanding during these challenging times and recognize that this is disappointing for our Class of 2020 graduates. SHS Families, During Remote Learning, students could have earned an Incomplete (I) as their spring 2020 semester grade. The SHS Leadership / Remote Learning Team has developed a policy that describes how students can remove an Incomplete from their transcript and earn credit for a course. On Wednesday, May 27th from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, high school students must drop off any textbooks or school owned supplies/materials at the library door entrance to the school. Students do NOT have to turn in their Chromebooks this summer. If a student does not want to keep their Chromebook over the summer, then he/she may turn it in to staff on May 27th. There are still unclaimed locker materials at the school. Students who haven’t picked up materials need to claim these items on Monday, May 27th from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. All students need to turn in assignments and projects to their teachers either electronically or via paper packets by 3:00 PM Friday. There is an assignment collection box located outside the library door entrance to collect any paper materials to be graded. Grades will be finalized on May 27th. SHS Families: As remote learning comes to a close this week, if students have any paper assignments they still need to submit to teachers, there will be a collection box on a table outside the library door entrance. Please make sure students label the assignment with their name and what teacher it needs to be submitted to for grading and place it in the box. All assignments and projects need to be submitted to your teachers by the end of this week (Friday, May 22nd).

Attention all SHS students needing their driving permits: On Wednesday, May 27th from 8 am to Noon, you will be able to submit your permit application. Please pull up by the high school library, and someone will assist you. You must have a parent or guardian with you and $20. This can be cash or check. If you bring a check it must be made out to the Illinois Secretary of State. Once your permit application is signed and the money is turned in, we will be able to mail your application.
