THANK YOU Staunton CUSD #6 residents for voting on the bond proposal. Unofficial results from the election showed 56.53% voting in favor of the proposal in Macoupin County and 56.16% voting in favor of the proposal in Madison County. A 50% majority was required for the measure to pass. The bond issue will fund projects to address critical facility needs, with a primary focus on the high school. Updated classrooms and labs will be built to improve the learning environment for students. The improvements will also include enhanced safety and accessibility. State Senator Steve McClure reached out to area schools for kids interested in attending a Youth Advisory Council. Four students (Victoria Partridge, Aiden Green, Elliott Frank, and Cheyenne Butcher) volunteered to represent Staunton.
