April is state testing month. On April 17th, 9th-11th grades will be taking the PSAT/SAT. These tests are required and if students miss the testing date, they will have to make it up. It is important that students be on time and that they have a good breakfast. This year the test will be taken on Chromebooks, so it is important that they are charged and ready on the 17th.
Seniors will not be in attendance and have been told that they are to use the day to visit a college or trade school, job shadow, or volunteer. They were given a permission slip in a meeting that they must turn into the attendance office when they return so that they are not marked as absent that day. There are extra slips the office for students who were absent or misplaced theirs. Please contact the high school office if you have any questions.

The Bulldog Business Club went on a field trip to St. Louis on Wednesday. The day started at the Federal Reserve where students participated in an "Escape the Money Vault" challenge before touring the Economy Museum. Also at the Fed, the business club heard a brief presentation from Hannah McEnery (SHS Class of 2014) about her journey from high school board member to full-time employee at the bank.
The group next proceeded to Ballpark Village for lunch and a walkthrough of the Cardinals Hall of Fame & Museum. Finally, the students were given a behind the scenes tour of Busch Stadium, including multiple club levels, the press box, and the dugout. The students learned how professional teams run their business model, including fan engagement.
Sponsors John Masinelli and Steve Moore would like to thank all of the area businesses who help fund Bulldog Business Club activities throughout the year. Furthermore, a big thank you to all of the guest speakers who took time out of their busy schedules to present to the students.
