1) If you need to come into the building as a visitor, you will need to enter through the elementary office. Please call ahead to make sure that someone is here to let you in.
2) As a result of construction, access to phones and internet is sporadic. Please be patient if you are trying to get ahold of someone. Email is probably your best bet, since we can check that off site.
3) If you have to get ahold of someone for a time sensitive issue, please contact the district office, so that they can get ahold of someone. Building secretaries are off for the summer after May 26th.

Dear Staunton CUSD #6 Families,
Due to the forecasted severe weather expected to move into our area this afternoon, all Staunton School District schools will dismiss early today (4/27/2026) at 1:30 PM. There will be no afternoon Preschool Classes.
This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our students and staff. All after-school activities and events scheduled for today are canceled.
We encourage families to review the latest weather forecast from the National Weather Service:
https://www.weather.gov/media/lsx/DssPacket.pdf
Please make any necessary arrangements for student pick-up or supervision following the early dismissal.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our school community.

At the April Board of Education meeting, we were proud to recognize several outstanding groups of students for their accomplishments and hard work.
Students honored during the Board Spotlight included:
🏀 8th Grade Girls’ Basketball
🏐 7th Grade Volleyball
🏐 8th Grade Volleyball
🎓 Illinois Principals Association Student Recognition Award recipients
Congratulations to all who were recognized, and thank you for representing our school with pride!
