We had a great first day of school at Staunton! It was great to see all of the students. We want to thank you for your patience with drop off and pick up. The procedures we have in place will continue to improve over time. Unfortunately, our internet went down in the middle of the day for a short time on Thursday. If your child is an Elective Remote learning student please continue to be patient with their classroom teacher in reference to technology. If the internet goes down at school it may take a short time for it to get back up and running, but I promise your child's Remote Learning teacher will hop back on the internet as soon as they are able to do so. All in all, we had a fantastic first day! Thank you everyone for your continuous support. We are ready for day two!

Information was emailed yesterday, August 12th on how you can login to Schoology as a parent/guardian. It is critical that your email address listed within Skyward is accurate because that is the email address used for Schoology access. If you need to update your email address in Skyward, please do so at your earliest convenience. Click HERE for the login page to Skyward.
Also, if your student is remote learning to start the school year and has not received a school issued electronic device yet, please plan on picking it up next Monday, August 17th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the library entrance to the school district.

Dear Staunton CUSD #6 Families,
To limit the number of outside individuals entering the building, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our In-Person School Supply Drop Off Night taking place inside the school buildings on Tuesday, August 11th. We will move forward with having our transportation shed open outside on Tuesday evening from 5 PM to 7 PM as scheduled for our families needing to obtain their child’s bus route and pick up/drop off times for the 20-21 school year.
We will have extra staff available on Thursday and Friday morning to assist students to their classrooms if needed. If necessary, students may bring half of their school supplies to school on Thursday, and bring the other half of their school supplies to school on Friday. If you were unable to find supplies from your child’s school supply list due to these supplies being unavailable in stores, please send them to school once they become available. Please do not send homemade items, such as disinfectant wipes, to school with your child. We will accept store bought items only.
We apologize for the inconvenience this cancellation has caused. Please know our top priority is the safety of our students, staff and school families. Thank you for your continuous support and understanding. We are looking forward to students returning to school on Thursday, August 13th!

Just a reminder that tonight is Kindergarten Orientation.

We ask that all families to enter through the Community Room entrance on the south side of the campus. Please wear a mask and we will be taking temperatures upon entry. And we ask that only one parent accompany each student.

Staunton Families: If you have chosen for your child to participate as an elective remote learner to start the school year, please review the information below to pick up a device for your student.
All 3rd - 12th grade students who need a device for elective remote learning should drive up to the library entrance of the school on Monday, August 10th between the hours of 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM and you will receive a Chromebook.
All K - 2nd grade students who need a device for elective remote learning should drive up to the library entrance of the school on Monday, August 17th between the hours of 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and you will receive an iPad.
Additionally, any elementary student who ordered a school supply box will receive it when he/she picks up a device.

Open House / Supply Drop-Off (Tuesday, August 11, 5:00PM-7:00 PM)
Traditional Open House/School Supply Drop-Off is designed to give parents and students an opportunity to meet & greet their teachers and become more familiar with the layout of the building. We are sending this message out to encourage you not to attend Open House / Supply Drop-Off if you are familiar with the building. The goal in sending this out to you is to minimize the number of parents and students in the building. Supplies can be brought in during the first days of student attendance. If you choose to attend this event, please limit your group size to one parent and the child attending that building.
Our drivers and transportation department will be available during Open House / Supply Drop-Off to answer questions and provide pick and drop off times. This year our drivers will be located at the bus garage to answer any questions on Tuesday, August 11, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.
