Friday at approximately 10 a.m. (before practice) we will have the Parade of Graduates as we have done in years past. We need Seniors here at 9:45 a.m. WITH their caps and gowns. Students will be encouraged to come out and cheer on our graduates as the drumline escorts them in front of the school (pending good weather). If weather becomes an issue, we will move it inside. Parents are welcome to come and cheer on the Class of 2025! Students MUST be in attendance at practice in order to participate in the ceremony on Sunday. #LeadChallengeAchieve

Fifth-graders placed 6th place out of 36 teams at this year’s 5th/6th grade Olympiad. Fifth-graders participating were Johnnie Caldieraro, Addison Lamore, Kai Monolo, and Eli Moore. Students made a tall tower, a vehicle that was powered by wind, and a safety container to protect a water balloon. They also completed some paper and pencil logic puzzles.

In Mrs. Klein's 5th grade ELA class, students read the story "The Badlands Sleuth: The Case of the Missing Fossils," which integrated mystery with science! Since they learned about fossils and chemical changes, Mrs. Klein decided to complete a wrap-up activity on excavating.
McLean B. was able to excavate the most "artifacts" at a whopping 39 chocolate chip "fossils." Once they excavated the artifacts, they watched a video, read a story about Sue, the T-Rex at the Field Museum, and did a directed drawing of a dinosaur skeleton. Finally, they enjoyed a cookie treat too!
