Dear Staunton Community,
Gym branding creates a fan experience unique to each venue, while also adding color and life to blank and boring concrete walls and empty spaces. When students and fans enter the facility, they need to be blown away by logos, colors, and designs that boost pride and foster unity among spectators. Wall, floor, bleacher, and seats all accomplish this goal.
The coaches have made significant improvements to the gym entrance and locker rooms. We have purchased 30 new bench chairs. New conference, regional, and state banners have been hung in the gym. To continue this unity, we need the parents, coaches, administrators, alumni, and community to come together to help in reaching this vision. We are asking for donations to help purchase new wall mats that will run from door to door in the gym. This wall padding will help keep players safe and add a unique aesthetic to our gym. It will help brand our gym into something we can all be proud of. Please help support Staunton Athletics by donating to this much needed product.

Attention volleyball fans.
Dear Staunton Families: Our students take federally required assessments every spring. These assessments help us understand how our students are growing academically, compared to their peers across the state. The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) assesses progress of students in grades 3-8 in meeting the Illinois Learning Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Due to the hardship and stress COVID-19 has put on many of our Staunton families the Staunton Board of Education wants to give back to our community. With this being said, the Board of Education approved to waive all athletic and gate fees for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year at Wednesday night’s Board meeting. This will go into effect immediately. If you already paid your child's athletic fees you will be reimbursed.
The 2021-2022 school calendar was approved for next school year. I know many families like to plan ahead so we wanted to inform you the 21-22 school calendar is located on our school website, or you can find it here by clicking on this link: https://5il.co/pr4n The school calendar was built on a normal school year as we are hoping to get back to normalcy by August 2021. Please know that if the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Public Health COVID-19 guidelines are still in place by the start of next school year small modifications may need to be made to the calendar.

Dear Staunton Families,
Looking ahead to next week, the weather forecast does not appear to look good. With this being said, we wanted to send a friendly reminder to our school families that IF students are asked not to report to school due to unsafe weather conditions, the district Superintendent's message will state whether students will report to school virtually following the Full Remote Learning Plan, or if a snow day will be used. If a Full Remote learning day is used it will count as a student attendance day and students will need to follow their Full Remote learning schedule. Full Remote learning days will not be made up at the end of the school year. If a snow day is called, there will be no school for all students and staff and the day will be made up at the end of the school year.
We need your input! Please take time to read the 5Essentails Survey letter and complete the 5Essentials survey in the next few weeks. We value your input and appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback. Click here: https://5il.co/pdji
